Keep it locked up and safe in our storage containers!

Protection of valuable tools and building supplies on construction sites is becoming increasingly difficult and expensive. Storage containers are available to safely, conveniently and economically protect your property.

All metal storage containers measure approximately 22 feet long, seven feet wide, and eight feet tall. Locking doors are available on these containers. Steel covers protect the door levers, which can be secured by the customer’s padlocks. Removable shelf brackets can be delivered with the storage bin for organization of tools and building materials.

Storage containers are transported to and from your business, job site, or home for a reasonable charge. A monthly rental fee is charged for the use of the container. Storage containers can be rented for as few as 30 days or as long as the customer desires.

Construction & Remodeling Project Recycling

Most cities require—or strongly encourage—contractors and homeowners to minimize the amount of construction and demolition material being sent to the landfill. In response to state regulations, many communities are implementing ordinances that require many construction and remodeling projects to submit and implement recycling plans, and to report the amount of materials disposed of and recycled.

EDCO’s family of companies can help you meet these requirements by providing containers to collect “clean” or mixed loads of concrete, asphalt, rock, lumber, metal or landscape material.

What is “Clean” Construction Waste?

When potentially recyclable waste materials are separated from “contaminating” debris, the recyclable material is considered clean. For instance: rebar is a contaminant when recycling concrete; metal flashing and roof tiles are contaminants when separating wood waste for recycling; asphalt is a contaminant to concrete, and vice-versa.

Clean construction waste is taken to a recycling facility, where processing fees are often less than landfill costs. Mixed waste material (construction waste collected together with rubbish and/or contaminants) is either hauled to a landfill, or is taken to a waste transfer facility to be sorted.

Waste hauled to a landfill incurs expensive “tip” fees to cover the cost of burying the material with municipal trash. Facility use fees at recycling sites—sometimes 1/2 the cost of landfill rates—cover the cost of processing the material into a saleable material, such as aggregate or compost.construction waste

What Types of Construction Materials Can You Recycle?

  • Concrete
  • Asphalt
  • Dirt & Rock
  • Wood Waste – call to speak with a Customer Service Representative for information about potential restrictions in some areas on treated or painted wood.
  • Metal – metal siding, pipe, storage sheds, old appliances, etc.
