Holidays which fall on Saturday and Sunday DO NOT delay waste removal services for the remainder of the week.

Residential collection service will not be performed on these holidays:

• New Years Day
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day

San Diego County, Orange County & Los Angeles County Customers

Following each designated holiday that occurs on a weekday or Sunday, waste removal services will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week. Example: following Thanksgiving, service regularly scheduled on Thursday will be performed on Friday, and normal Friday pick up will be done on Saturday (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday collection will be conducted without interruption).

Please set out waste and recycling containers for collection on your regularly scheduled service day for all other holidays, including: Martin Luther King Jr.’s Birthday, Lincoln’s Birthday, Presidents’ Day, Washington’s Birthday, Cesar Chavez Day, and Veterans’ Day.

Holiday Schedule Example for Customers in San Diego, Orange and Los Angeles Counties

City of Lakewood only: if a holiday falls on a Sunday, there will be no interruption in the collection service following that holiday.

Designated holidays that occur on Sunday delay service throughout the week in San Diego, Orange & Los Angeles Counties.	Holidays that occur on Sunday or Monday will delay service for the remainder of the week.	Holiday service is moved to the next day if performed on or following a holiday.	If your regular service day occurs before a holiday, your service day remains the same.	If regular service day is Thursday, it will be moved to Friday following the holiday.	If regular service day is Friday, it will be moved to Saturday following the holiday.
