Reusable Items Deserve a Second Chance
One person's trash is another person's treasure. Oftentimes unwanted items that have not outlived their usefulness are disposed of in trash containers. Yet there are numerous charitable organizations and shelters that accept (and desperately need!) unwanted items in reusable condition, including: clothing, infant/children's items, toys, furniture, kitchenware, working appliances, sports equipment, etc. A growing number of organizations are also being established who accept construction materials, fixtures, and business equipment for redistribution.
Before tossing potentially reusable discard in a trash container, check with one of the organizations listed below and give your reusable items a second chance.
