Bulky Item Pickup Service — EDCO Waste Services Services

Dial a Donation

Need to dispose of an item that is too large or heavy to set out for removal on your regular trash collection day? Call EDCO Waste Services to schedule bulky item pickup service. Residents can schedule removal of a bed mattress, old furniture, a water heater, or other large or heavy household items.

Thanks to a grant from the California Integrated Waste Management Board, the bulky item collection service has been enhanced to divert items in reusable condition, which will be donated to local charitable organizations and shelters. When scheduling service, residents will be asked to describe items being discarded to determine if they can be reused, repaired or salvaged.

To schedule bulky item collection call EDCO Waste Services at (562) 531-3054 by 3:30 p.m. the day before your regularly scheduled waste collection day.

Residents living in apartment or condominium communities may be charged a nominal fee for bulky item collection. Call EDCO Waste Services at (562) 531-3054 for assistance.

Some items cannot be picked up:

• Auto parts
• Machinery and other industrial discards
• Oil, grease, and other liquids
• Bricks, lumber, and broken concrete
• Excessively large items, such as whole tree trunks and large limbs
• Hazardous materials, such as televisions, computer monitors, and batteries
