Are you drowning in paper? Would you like to discard old bank statements and other personal records but are concerned with identity theft?
The City of Encinitas and EDCO are sponsoring a FREE shredding event. There will be a certified shredding truck present during the event, and all items will be shredded ONSITE! Limited to two banker boxes (10”x12”x15”) per household.
Unwanted electronics will also be collected, including TVs, computer monitors, printers, fax machines, VCRs, DVD players, cell phones, and answering machines.
Please, no Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) material, household appliances, or trash. Such items will not be accepted at this event.
Free Mulch! Also available will be free mulch for Encinitas residents (while supplies last). This is a self-serve, self-loading, and self-haul service, so please bring your own cans/bags, gloves, and shovel—there is a limit of 3 cans/bags per vehicle. If you plan to haul your mulch in an open truck or trailer, please remember to bring a tarp to cover your material.
